    I would like to change the background color in the Chameleon theme. I’ve checked style.css and each template file and cannot see where the background color is set. (I am using the “Red” version of Chameleon; the background for this one is black and I would like to change it to white.)

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

  • A link to your site would help.

    On the styles folder, open the red.css file.
    The first line is where you have to change the color:

    body {
    	background-color: #000000;
    }

    I recommend you to save it with a new name, like custom.css and then select this palette on the theme settings. Doing this, your custom palette will not be overridden when you update the theme to a new version.

    Thank you so much, Txanny! I really appreciate your help.

    I’m having a similar problem and tried the suggestion for the previous poster with no success. I would like to change the color of the border – I’m using the Fresh style.

    My site is: https://www.theasthmaadvocate.com

    Thanks!

    Well, the fresh style has no border, so you cannot change the color on this style as there is no border for it.

    Info sounds helpful, and I’ll try it. . .but I’m wanting to change the background color scheme of the theme I’m using – Cake Mania Deluxe I – and I don’t know how to find the coded numbers for colors – pretty basic, I guess, but not till you know it! Also, last time I changed some fonts, it blew everything and I had to start over. Think I figured that out, but am nervous about changing colors until I know how.
