    Hi David,

    Hope you are doing well!

I am just wondering how can i change one of the the drop down filtration name ‘Applications’ to ‘Documents’. Do i need to modify any file or some hook to functions.php etc.

Also, is there any way in the categories folders so we can hide all the stuff under particular catergory not to be exposed to non-members or general users.

    Much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Kind regards

    Nayak Chhabra

Thanks for your good wishes and for your questions.

You asked “how can I change one of the drop down filtration name ‘Applications’ to ‘Documents’.” You can change any of the labels used for the MIME Type “views” easily:

    1. Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant “Views” tab.
    2. Hover over the “application” entry in the Slug column and click “Quick Edit”.
    3. Change the Singular and Plural label text to, for example, “Document” and “Documents”.
    4. Click “Update to save your changes.

If you change your mind, go back to the Views tab, hover over the slug and click “Revert to Standard” to restore the WordPress default settings.

You also asked if “we can hide all the stuff under particular category not to be exposed to non-members or general users“. I am not sure what you mean by “the categories folders“, but you might find some useful information in this earlier topic:

exclude some files for non subscribed users

You can also have a look at the “MLA Login-filtered Gallery Example” plugin I created in response to that topic. To get the example plugin, navigate to the Settings/Media library Assistant Documentation tab and click the “Example Plugins” button. Type “filtered” in the text box and click “Search Plugins” to filter the table.

You are looking for the “MLA Login-filtered Gallery Example” plugin. Find that plugin and hover over the title in the left-most column. Click the “Install” (or “Update”) rollover action, then go to the WordPress Plugins/Installed Plugins submenu and activate the example plugin as you would any other plugin. You can also click the “Download” link to get a copy of the code for your own development, or click “View” to have a look at the code online.

I hope you find the earlier topic and example plugin helpful. I am marking this topic resolved, but please let me know if you have any problems or further questions regarding the above suggestions or the example plugin. Thanks for your interest in MLA.
