How to change from HTTPS to HTTP?

    Hello,
    My SSL certificate for the website capstona.com has expired and I am in no mood to renew it. How can I change back from HTTPS to HTTP.

    First of all, did you know you can get a free cert from LetsEncrypt.org and many hosts will automate that for you?

    OK, back to the question:

    (1) check your .htaccess file to see if you have a redirect from http to https there. If so, remove it.

    (2) Disable all caching plugins, then using the plugin “better search replace”, search your site for https://mysite.com and replace with https://mysite.com.

    (3) Clear your browser’s cache and history.

    (4) Log back in and re-enable your caching plugins.
