• Hello,

I have my home page as all of my recent blog posts. When I search for my website in the google search (ReelHooked.co), it comes up as “ReelHooked – Articles”. I want to it show up as “ReelHooked – We’re ReelHooked on Fishing” or “ReelHooked – Home”.

    How would I do this?

    Thank you!

Please note, my “Home” page in my menu is titled “Home” as a custom link to https://www.reelhooked.co , not too sure if that has a factor.

    Settings > General:
    – change title & description here for your homepage. Also if you are using some kind of SEO plugin, then you probably can change it in general settings of mentioned plugin too.

I have done all that and it still shows as is.

If you visit my website, my homepage and my articles are essentially the same thing.

I want my home page to be the articles, but without the big “home” title.

It’s correct, you can check it in any meta tags analyzer, for example here:
    https://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html
(search for “Your site displayed on a search engine page.” panel)

The thing is, that google won’t update it so fast – bot needs to crawl through your website again and reindex your front page, then google will show correct title. You can either wait(it will update eventually) or speed up this process a bit, by requesting it manually in Google Search Console, but either way it might take days to update.
