• Hi,

    My WP dashboard is in English, but bigger part (not all) of iThemes Security settings are displayed in French. How can I have all of iThemes Security plug-in displayed in English?

    It depends on your current language settings.
    Apart from that there is a known translation bug in the iTSec plugin.

    Let me guess. In Settings/General you have Site Language set to Francais but for this specific user you set the Language setting to English (United States) in his/her user profile.

    Result: WP Dashboard is in English for this user but the iTSec plugin interface still shows French translations.

    Just checked: Site Language is set to English, user language set to Default site language. Changing user language to English did not help. Any solutions?

    Ah ok, weird. Seems like you have a different problem.
    Is Francais listed as an installed language in Settings/General Site Language dropdown list ?

    In other words have you ever installed Francais as Site Language ?

    The site itself is multilingual (English, Dutch and French) using qTranslate. Default language of the site is French, but that only affects the content of the site, not the WP dashboard.

    What is most strange than only about half of iThemes options are displayed in French. Any suggestions?

    That can easily be explained. The French translation of the iTSec plugin is only completed for 62% as indicated here.

    You can try and delete or rename the 2 French iTSec plugin translation files (.po and .mo) in the wp-content/languages/plugins folder. But as long as French is an installed language the French iTSec plugin translation files will probably continue to arrive as updates.

    Same for me. My WP dashboard is in English, Site language is set to Spanish. As admin with admin language English I would like to have iThemes also in English and not in site language.

    BTW: What does this line mean in better-wp-security/better-wp-security.php:

    load_textdomain( ‘better-wp-security’, WP_LANG_DIR . “/plugins/better-wp-security/better-wp-security-$locale.mo” );

    ..There are no language files in the main folder.

    @sgyou

    WP_LANG_DIR . “/plugins/better-wp-security/better-wp-security-$locale.mo”

    =

    "wp-content/languages/plugins/better-wp-security/better-wp-security-$locale.mo”
