    Hi –

The plugin works and when someone comments on my blog, and I reply, they get an email notifying them that I replied. That’s what I want. The problem comes in when you look at who the email comes from. It comes from [email protected]. In additon, there are some odd characters (') stuck in the middle of the correct stuff in the subject line.

Any idea how to change the email address from which the notification comes to my actual email address, and get rid of the odd characters in the subject line?

    Thanks!!

    Hello,

Are you using a SMTP plugin to send your emails, or are you using the default mail handle? If I remember correctly wordpress@domain is the default email address generated by the built-in mailer.

    Hi –

Thanks for your reply. I do not know if the Comment Reply Email Notification plugin is actually sending the emails. If not, then I am using the default…wordpress. And if that is the case and you are correct, that would explain the default email address. Any idea how to change that default in wordpress to see if that works?

    Thanks

In this case, I’d recommend you to install the Post SMTP plugin:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/post-smtp/

You will be able to change the “from” email, and also setup SMTP, which will greatly improve your email deliverability. ??

    Best,
    Gustavo

Thanks!! I will try it, although I won’t get to it for a few days. I appreciate the help.
