How to change permalink use of hyphen to underscore

    I am building a new site (WP 5.0) and would like to know how to change the WP convention of using hyphens in the permalink / slug name to underscores. The reason is that I am converting an existing site from another platform that used underscores and want to continue the naming convention. Thus far I have been altering the permalink on existing pages manually however I want to continue the convention for future pages and posts.

    Did a little research after posting and read that Google treats hyphens as word separators but not underscores. Looks like I’ll have to discuss this with the client.
