How do I change the post thumbnail size as displayed on blog/archive pages (e.g. gid view etc)?
Kush suggested I try this guide: https://docs.themeisle.com/article/1269-how-to-change-image-size-in-neve
But that did not change anything when I tried it. I also tried this guide on the actual original theme (knowing that it’d be overwritten with the next update) but that did not help either. The thumbnails always stay at 930×620 instead of the 1280×720 I need (and did put in as values in the above guide).

  • Hello @felixo,

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties encountered!

Did you also follow the 3rd step of the guide? Regenerating the thumbnails is also needed in order for the change to have effect.

    Looking forward to your reply,

    Hi @irinelenache
thanks for your reply. I did follow the step of regenerating the thumbnails. It did not create the desired result.

What I ended up doing was reuploading the thumbnails for the individual posts. Only then would they be displayed properly. I did that for the past 10-15 posts. But there are a thousand more to go (I’ve been blogging since 2009) and I can’t find the time to fix all of them.
    Cheers,
    Felix

    Hello @felixo,

I think the original size of your images is smaller than the one you want to set in the child theme, and therefore, they cannot be resized to a bigger size.

If you try to set smaller values for the thumbnails, they will work for sure.

    I hope this helps,

    Irinel
