How to change Register here under Meta

    Hi,

    I am new with wordpress and I am still learning now. My concern is there is a “Register” under META every time there is a visitor on my site, of which if i am logging into my site, it is “Site Admin”. The problem is, instead of registering into the Form on my site, some people will click that. Now, they will not be subscribing into my campaign instead they are registering as admin. How will i correct this? Please help.

    There’s no way to correct it without directly editing the file which controls the Meta widget, and we definitely don’t recommend that. It’s really intended more as a tool for getting started.

    Instead, remove the widget and bookmark the links you need. If others need the links too, build your own widget with HTML in a Text widget (the Text widget executes HTML) or build a custom menu with custom links and use the Custom Menu widget.

    Thank you so much for this. I will try to do it. But honestly I am not so techy. I just followed a video instruction also on adding widgets and don’t even know which widget should i remove

    The widget to remove at Appearance -> Widgets in your blog’s Dashboard is titled Meta.

    By the way, I forgot to mention (sorry!), if you don’t want anyone registering to your site through that form, uncheck “Anyone can Register” at Settings -> General in your blog’s Dashboard.

    Thanks, maybe i don’t need to remove Meta if i will uncheck “Anyone can register”
