Let me start by asking you to be patient with me as I am a novice using WordPress.

I want to change the blog title on my index page. I have already gone into “General” Settings and changed the title there to contain all the information I want to display at the top of my blog.

The blog title displays the way I want it to on all pages/posts except the index page. Is there somewhere else I need to change this for the index page?
Or is there something I am missing on the “General” Settings page?

  • The Blog Title code is in the header.php, it could be that the theme you are using has code for a slideshow on the homepage, and is coded not to display?

Have a look and see it there is an options page for the theme, often Admin > Appearance > Theme Options

Without a link to the website or a theme name it would be hard for anyone to help.

    Regards

    David

Is it possible that you’re using the plugin “All in One SEO” ???
    If so, go to:

Settings > All in One SEO
and you can specify the “Home Title” there
