• Hello, when a post or page is created, an author is always shown by default, which is usually the first registered user with permissions to write posts or pages (usually the administrator). The author user who writes another post will have to change this default user if he wants to put her own name as author. But this becomes a nuisance if another author is the most frequent or the only one who writes the post.

How can I change the author that is shown by default so that I don’t have to keep changing the author every time? At one point I thought it could be by order of arrival or registration, so I deleted the first registered author-administrator and created it again so that it had another “registration” date as a user, but it did not work.
    What I can do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

No, this is NOT the default WordPress behaviour.

By default, the user making the post/page is always assigned as the author.

So you need to find figure out what is causing this unexpected behaviour on your website, and deal with it.

To begin troubleshooting this odd behaviour, temporarily disable ALL plugins, and switch to the latest default theme. Then test to see if the problem persists or not.

Should the author user logged in at that moment be the one that is shown by default? Of course, that is not the behavior now.
I’ll do what you say and I will test it, thank you very much!
