How to change the excerpt link text

You can also try adding a “translation plugin” instead, and then using the plugin to translate that one string of text. Any of the plugins here would allow you to change that: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/translate/

I wish I had the time to help with the translation.

What I was looking for, though, would not work with a translation.
Since I don’t want to just translate “More” into Portuguese.

What I would like is to is use that link as any other piece of text.
And put arrow characters, text, change it when I need to.

If you want to make a translation that is specific to your site (and not shared with other users of this theme) then you will want to use a plugin like the ones mentioned here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/translate/

This will allow you to translate the text into your language, as well as add any special characters.
