How to change the featured images

there are three featured pages..with images above them. this is what i’m talking about.

These are the images, you define as “post-image” (in german it is “Beitragsbild”) in the WP-Dashboard. In the down-right corner of the page-editing-site …

I do go to page editing..but there are three 270 * 250 images on the front page..and there is only space for one image (in the page editing) in the bottom-right corner that is named “featured image”.

Three images.
Each one leads to exactly one seperate site.

So the minimum of your Website is (in short)

1. Startpage (Home) … with the three pictures (and some other stuff).
2. A page as a target for the picture #1
3. A page as a target for the picture #2
4. A page as a target for the picture #3

In the Customizr-Options you can select, which page will go with 1, 2 or 3.

And the pictures you will see on your homepage later on, will be the pictures, you have defined in the page-editing for site-1, for site-2 and for site-3.

This would be the usual procedure.

Or do you want to have the pictures connected with something else or with nothing at all?

For now, I’d just want the featured images to link to a website where my courses are offered and hosted. I don’t actually want the picture..or the read more under it..to lead to a new page.

By following your advice, I have figured out how to make the featured images show up on the front page with the right headings..but only by making them lead to new pages. As mentioned in previous post, I’d like to make those images just link to a totally different website where i have my courses hosted and offered.

I am just curious:
If you don’t need the images, the featured-pages, the buttons … why then deal with the featured-pages stuff at all?
Why not build up a standard-frontpage, set pictures as, where and how you like and set up links the way you prefer leading to what-ever-you-want?
Would be much easier, I think.

I bought a domain with wordpress installed so I can promote some online psychology courses I’ve created. The thing is, I’m not hosting the courses on my own domain but a popular online platform..so I’d link from my site to the courses on that other site. The organic sales coming from that site where my courses are hosted have been poor, so I’m trying to do some of my own marketing on my own site..and drive some traffic to them.

But I guess it makes more sense to have landing pages on my own site and collect email addresses.

How do I chang the timing on the media slider on my home page?
