    Hi Shabtai,

I want to use the post fields but to change their labels.

Can you please direct me to the PHP file name and lines where I can change the label name of the post “Title”, “Excerpt” and “Featured Image”?

    Thanks,
    Eli.

Hello, in WordPress it is highly recommended that you dont make any changes to plugin or theme files because if you need to update the plugin or theme, all your changes might be lost.

Any changes you make should be done within your child theme or a dedicated plugin through hooks.

That being said, there is a built in way to have your own labels. Just create your own fields for the title, featured image, and excerpt and select them in each respective dropdown.

    Hi,
ACF has added a tab in all its fields to hide the field.

    Is named:

    Show only on frontend
Lets you hide the field on the backend to avoid duplicate fields

Even if yours would be able to change the labels on the form.

    Greetings Shabi ..

Hi Dionix, I would to correct you. The tab “Show only on frontend” is being generated from ACF Frontend.

    Take care, my friend.
