How to change the Page HTML editor?

What i mean is… The code editor there is terrible…
i tried hard to find a plugin that could change the visual there, so it’s easier to see the code, with colors, tab spaces that won’t change every time i save..If there is no such plugin, can someone point me in a direction to edit the files on my PC using my software? Maybe installing and FTP software.. dunno.. this is not my field of work.. but here i am..
