How to change the photo in hero template

    I like Neve and have used it for a few sites. Today I am redoing a client’s site and want to use the block with the hero image (green sofa/pink phone) and overlaying text. But…I cannot see a way to remove the stock image and insert my own.

    NEVER MIND. I just found the spot where I can swap in my photo. It’s on the right under the Block/Style settings. Silly me.

    I found the solution by accident. I did not see it any documentation or on any support forums.

    ? Click the big hero photo
    ? On the upper right, click N logo, then “Block” right below.
    ? Under “Background Type,” there are three icons and the middle one is for the photo.
    ? You should see your photo and below it there a box with the words “Change or Remove Image.” YAY!

    Also, check out the other settings, like “Background Overlay” to adjust the opacity.`

    Maybe it’s because I’m using the free version of this theme? I don’t see a ‘N logo’ or ‘Block’. I see ‘Edit Section’ and ‘Reset Style’. If I click on ‘Reset Style’ the image goes away completely.

    I wonder if I have to upgrade to be able to change the image?

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

    You don’t have to use the Pro version of the theme to be able to change the big title section background image. This can be done by:

    • opening the editor (clicking on “Edit Page” – screenshot)
    • clicking on that background image
    • clicking on the settings wheel from the top bar of the editor
    • going to “Style”
    • expanding “Background Settings”
    • clicking on “Change or Remove Image”
    • choosing the desired image
    • updating the page so the changes will be saved
