    Hi guys.
I am using Avenue wp theme. I set it up as a blog. Avenue theme – homepage settings – traditional blog.
Now I have recent posts with thumbnails going down which is great . The problem is that the thumbnails are rectangles and many of my images are squareS . I know I can resize but the images can only look good when they are squares. So even when they fit into rectangle, they become all stretched out and ugly. Here is a sample website https://screencast.com/t/dMBgKW5MSTGV (i have a similar setup)notice how its all one shape besides the chess board , since its square. So ideally I need the same . but at least I want to know the way how to change these thumbnails permanently to the square shape .Thank you in advance

Various sizes are reproduced from the original image proportionally. Stretching and distortions mostly occur when you specify disproportionate smaller widths and heights for thumbnails. One way to avoid distortions is to specify only the width.

You’ll need to ask the developer for help with a theme-specific question – as commercial themes are not supported on these forums, partly because we do not have access to them for testing or use.
