How to change theme from hosting directly

  • Due to some theme error I’m seeing this:
    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare themify_homepage_welcome() (previously declared in D:\Hosting\11842847\html\wp-content\themes\elemin\themify\themify-modules.php:1626) in D:\Hosting\11842847\html\wp-content\themes\elemin\theme-modules.php on line 17

    Is there a way to change my default theme on WordPress from my hosting so that I can delete my present theme files and rectify the mistakes?

  • Yes, you should be able to use FTP or another file manager to rename your theme’s folder – which will force WP to use the default theme (assuming it’s in the themes folder):

    wp-content
    themes
       elemin.HOLD
       twentyfourteen
