How to change to Sydney with wordpress 4.9.15 and PHP 5.5.38

    I am using Customizr at the moment but want to change to Sydney.
    My wordpress core is still 4.9.15, PHP 5.5.38 and My SQL 5.6.48.
    Sydney’s PHP version is 5.6 or higher.
    How can I change the theme safely?
    I will deactivate all plugins and should install the theme like twenty seventeen first which PHP 5.2.4 or higher?
    Could you please guide me how to proceed.

    To get the most out of Sydney theme features, we recommend you to follow these requirements first. Before switching to Sydney, you can ask your web hosting support to do updating them for you.

    Is there anything blocking you from updating your hosting? Please let me know.
