How to change width of one column layout?

Hi,
Like the title says, how do I change the width of the one column layout? Currently it spans across the entire page without any sidebars. I want it to be centered just like when you choose the ‘Inherit Layout’ option but without any sidebars. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
