How to charge for a Directory Listing Website

    I have a directory website
    and I was wondering if it is recommend to charge for the listings by month or for the whole year?

    Whats the advantages?
    Disadvantages?

    I am going to have a regular listing – and then have a featured listing – so they will be located at the top of the website page.

    Any feedback will be a huge help!

    what wordpress tools are you using to power directory listing website?

    This is a fun question. Definitely doesn’t belong here. Maybe post it here and close this thread.

    i would offer both options with a discount if they pay for a full year upfront. Florida is seasonal with tourism so some businesses will likely care more about peak season. So if your pricing is monthly, they can just stop using it after the season unless you have variable pricing based on the season

    Here is what I am thinking… $9.99/ mo – or $99 for the year thats for the regular listing that features:

    3 Photos,
    1 video,
    Business Description,
    Social Media Links,
    Website links,
    Blog article on our website,
    Coupons and specials,
    Contact info,
    Hours of operations,
    Business logo.

    The Featured Listing – which will place their listing on top of the search results will be $19.99/ mo or $199 for the whole year.
