how to check a file

    Hi,

    I just uploaded this plug in and activated it. This is the message I got. How to I check the file. Thanks, Michele

    Changes in the integrity of your core files were detected. There are files that were added, modified, and/or removed in the core directories /<root>, /wp-admin and/or /wp- includes. You may want to check each file to determine if they were infected with malicious code.

  • There is a button that says “Show Files” on the top-right corner of that message, if you click it there will be a table bellow the warning with a list of files added, modified, and/or deleted. You can use either a file manager (which is a tool generally available in most cPanel installations), or an FTP client to navigate through your project files a check whether the modifications in these files are legitimate or not.
