How to Check Nameserver for a Domain Bought Using WordPress

  • Hi,

    I recently purchased a domain name (www.damngoodquotes.com) through WordPress. I bought a hosting account with GoDaddy and now I need to set the nameservers.

    How do I find the nameservers for my domain name?

    Easy enough to do…

    $ dig damngoodquotes.com ns

damngoodquotes.com.	86400	IN	NS	ns1.wordpress.com.
damngoodquotes.com.	86400	IN	NS	ns2.wordpress.com.
damngoodquotes.com.	86400	IN	NS	ns3.wordpress.com.

    Those are the nameservers for your domain.

    You’ll need to contact WordPress.COM (not this place) if you need to change anything DNS-wise.
