How to Clean Up The First Page

  • Hello,

    I chose Evolve because I need a theme I can customize and add elements as it grows, but right row all I need is a white first page with 2 images that are links to other locations.

    I have managed to remove almost everything from it but there is still a gray area on the top and on the bottom, plus a grayish bar on the top, from a menu I removed.

    I will still make a few tweaks on the page but if you guys wanna check it out to see what I mean, here is the address: leandrogramani.com

    Also: when I decide to ass more pages, can I still use all the elements available for the theme on those new and keep the first page as it is?

  • Hi,

    You can create a blank page, Insert any image you want with links and assign it as the static home page.
    Go to WordPress admin -> Settings -> Reading
    and set your newly created page as the Front Page.

    As for your second question, no it’s not possible.
    The home page is built by Theme Options and it does not apply to a static page. There is also no shortcodes within the theme to do that.
    www.ads-software.com does not allow themes to have shortcodes, it has to be in a plugin.
