    Hi there,

I need your help please., I am going to sell one off service fee and monthly subscription selection for hosting using product variant selection.   User will buy a service and select hosting plan in variant selection. Service is single payment and hosting plan is subscription payment,

I need your help to understand,

    1. How to remove product quality selection? As I sell this as a service, I don’t want user to select the quantity more than one.
    2. How to make optional variants? And one of the variant should be subscription payment. User will select this option for their hosting packages. I will use woo commerce subscription plugin for this option

    3. And is it possible to combine, both one off payment and subscription payment (by variant selection) in single product page??

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks

    John

    Hi @johnjo

I’m happy to assist you with your questions regarding product variant selection, quantity selection, and combining one-off and subscription payments on a single product page.

How to remove product quality selection? As I sell this as a service, I don’t want user to select the quantity more than one.

There are few ways you can hide the quantity field:

    • You can enable the “Sold Individually” option. Once you will enable it, your users will only be allowed to buy one item in a single order. TO enable it, go to Product Data > inventory > Sold individually.
    • You can hide the quantity field using custom CSS shared here.
    • You can hide the quantity using custom code snippet. I found a resource via Google search that might be helpful: https://njengah.com/hide-remove-quantity-field/
    • As an easiest solution, you can use a plugin like Advanced Product Quantity. It will give you an extensive control over the look and function of the quantity field compared to the default one.

How to make optional variants? And one of the variant should be subscription payment. User will select this option for their hosting packages. I will use woo commerce subscription plugin for this option

For creating optional variants and setting one as a subscription, you will need the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin and the WooCommerce Product Add-Ons plugin. With these plugins, you can create a variable product with different hosting packages as variants. One of these variants can be set as a subscription product.

And is it possible to combine, both one off payment and subscription payment (by variant selection) in single product page?

Combining both one-off payment and subscription payment in a single product page can be achieved with the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin. You can set up a product where the customer pays a one-off fee (the service fee) and then pays a recurring subscription fee (the hosting plan). This is done by setting the “Sign-up fee” field for the one-off payment and the “Regular price” field for the subscription payment.

Please note that customizing and managing your WooCommerce site involves some technical understanding. If you’re not comfortable with this, you might consider hiring a professional to assist you.

Additionally, if you’re currently using our premium WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin and have a valid license with us, we’d love for you to open a support request to get further assitance.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

    Thanks!
