• Hi,

I installed the WordPress SEO plugin and uninstalled it but now on WPML I still have informations related to YOAST.

    ie : _yoast_wpseo_focuskw, _yoast_wpseo_title, _yoast_wpseo_metadesc etc…

How can I delete all “things” related to YOAST from my db because it appears into the WPML plugin translations and it isn’t friendly for translators.

    Thanks for your help

  • Well, get in to your PHP Admin section-> Check for the variables that matches the seo plugin (Usually they are self literal) -> Drop those tables.

    Hope that helps!

    @oliver Saunier

Good idea to delete Yoast SEO. We can′t trust Yoast anymore. It′s sad, but true… All the things happened in the last months are a good example how someone can loose his credibility, build up for years – in a relatively short time! Amazing.

Well, I am aware of the recent vulnerability yet I guess many of the sites are working OK after their latest update.

    Did you update that?

    Hi,

Yes of course I did this but it “killed” the WPML plugin deleting this like that, I think there’s a way to do, in order to preserve other components of the WordPress.

    Thanks

I don’t want to update I want to delete, sorry I was answering your first post ??

Hmm…Yey, I know. Many people are really the “victims”. Anyway, try the PHP admin method. It helped me. I hope it works the same for you. Take a backup while dropping the tables.

@rodgonz that’s not the subject, it’s just that I prefer to use less integrate things… I tried this plugin and don’t like it ?? Simply!

@webgurusana Thanks I already did this as I said and it crashed the WPML plugin so I was thinking somthing like this : https://gist.github.com/jdevalk/05d6b0c3e74b4527e3a7 but it’s too old and not up to dat ??

    Thanks for help,

    Regards

Well, if you have already fired the queries then why dont you try viewing all your tables again. Check if you have missed any query and then delete all the verification file from the FTP(if you have uploaded for verification of search engines/social media keys).

After doing all this, I guess you would have to wait until the search engine flushes all your data.

Sorry, I don’t understand about the search engine.

Is there someone able to send me the sql queries and their order to clean up my database without breaking WPML plugin?

    Thanks
