Hi, I’m afraid I’ve finally lost patience with Cookiebot interfering with other plugins on my wordpress website and decided to deactivate and remove it. HOWEVER, when a cookie scan was performed by another provider it still found the cookiebot CookieConsent cookie on my site alomg with another 2 unknown cookies which may or may not be related to cookiebot. These were _tltpl_286582 and _tltpl_286640. Can someone please tell me how to completely remove the Cookiebot stuff?
    Thank you.

    Hi @chris244,

I’m sorry to hear our solution wasn’t working out for you.
Cookiebot can be implemented in a number of ways, depending on which method you used there are a few different ways you can go about removing it:

    • Remove the Cookiebot WordPress plugin if you have it.
    • Check if you have plugin that inserts code into the header of your pages, and remove the Cookiebot script if it’s present.
    • If you implemented Cookiebot using Google Tag Manager, remove the tag.

The cookies you mention, _tltpl_286582 and _tltpl_286640 aren’t set by Cookiebot, your new Consent Management Solution may be able to point out where these come from.

    I have the same issue.
    Removed the plugin in WordPress
There is no code in the header or footer for cookiebot
I don’t use Google Tag Manager.

When I look for the cookie manualy, I can’t find it. But the cookiescanner (Complianz) I use now, still finds it.
So it’s hanging around there somewhere.

    What to do?

    Hi @emdeewee,

I would suggest using incognito mode for your browser, and running the scan again.

If you still find cookies related to Cookiebot, please make a thread on our forum.
