    Hi,

I just uninstall Polylang from my site (I’ll be working with Woocommerce and Polylang cannot fully support Woocommerce at the moment). But when I check in my site directory (via cPanel), I can still see the language folders in /wp-content/cache/page_enhanced/… despite having emptied cache in my WP dashboard. Is this normal? Is it ok to delete these files?

On WP dashboard, I also noticed that the pages in another language still exist, so are the product categories in that language (note: I was testing Polylang on my site with only 2 languages). Is it safe to just delete these pages and categories?
Would these be considered as complete uninstallation?

    Please advise.

    Best regards,

    John

    Hi!

The files in the cache directory are not added by Polylang. Probably your cache plugin. Probably safe to delete.

I also noticed that the pages in another language still exist

When you uninstall Polylang (and check the option to remove all data in Settings->languages->tools), Polylang removes all its data ( options, languages and translations informations) but all your content ( posts, pages, categories… ) is kept intact. This is necessary, if for example, you want to migrate to another multilingual plugin.

Thanks for your reply, Chouby. I just checked my directory again today. Polylang files in cache directory are now gone – very likely expired. I find it a bit strange that I couldn’t delete these files by emptying cache on my WP dashboard (with W3 Total Cache).

Hi everyone. Apologies to Jouriena for interrupt in this theme, but I have no idea how to send the message to Chouby.
I had problem with deleting Polylang. After deactivating and deleting all pages are gone with navbar.. They were existed but didn’t showed up.. The problem was with language icons, that I added in header code in theme. After deleting the Polylang there was an error and web-site didn’t showed up.. Maybe for someone it will be helpful.
