how to configure
-
Hi,
I have a problem with installing WP super cache. After Installing I have to configure the PlugIn to use it, bur I don’t know what to do.
This message appears when I click on settings.
Warning! Could not update /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-config.php! WPCACHEHOME must be set in config file.
Warning! /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content/advanced-cache.php does not exist or can’t be updated.
1. If it already exists, please delete the file first.
2. Give /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content writing permission with CHMOD in the console or with yout ftp-programm. (chmod 777 /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content) an refresh. That is a two part operation, you have to set it to “read only” afterwards (change 777 to 755 in the previous command).
3. refresh to update /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content/advanced-cache.php
If that does not help, make sure that /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content/advanced-cache.php does not exist:
1. open /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/advanced-cache.php$wp_cache_file in an editor
2. ?ndere den Text CACHEHOME in /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/
3. save the file and add it to /www/htdocs/w01339da/[mysite]/wp-content/advanced-cache.php and click refresh
resolve previous problems and try agianI had to translate it from german to english.
What should I do?
I hope you can help me…WP-Version: 4.5.2
WP-Super-Cache-Version: 1.4.8
