  • Hello jeveuxpasdeusername,

This blog post discusses exactly that, changing the text language and content: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/paid-memberships-pro-in-your-language/

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

This blog post doesn’t discuss changing the content. Or did I miss something ?

It would be so much easier and simpler just to let people write their own text instead of relying on translations…

It’s like the registering process… too complicated.

Thanks for your answer, but I’m going to move to another solution.

Don’t know if you’ve moved on yet, but there’s the “Custom Level Cost Text” add-on that lets you customize the Level description text (including the “the price for membership…” text).

“Custom Level Cost Text” add-on is a “PMPro Plus Add On”.
“The price for membership is $197.00 now.”

$197 to customize the text ?
    Seriously ?

No, I think you may have read that a bit too quickly.

The PMPro Plus subscription is for 1 year of support, full access to all of our PMPro related content & recipes, plus access to all add-ons via one-click updates. You basically get access to our full support team & we provide all sorts of solutions in terms of customizations. And of course, you’ll support a plugin that we’ve spent 100s of hours developing, and provide free of charge.

Or, you could spend a few seconds with Google and locate our github repository…

I had a look at this add-on and I managed to customize the “the price for membership…” text.
    What about the rest ?

    – “Level”
    – “Price”
    – “You have selected the xxx membership level.”
    – “Do you have a discount code? Click here to enter your discount code.”
    – “You are logged in as xxx. If you would like to use a different account for this membership, log out now.”
    – …

    I think I got my answer…
    for example, in checkout.php :

“You have selected the %s membership level.”

    The text is hard-coded. Good job… :/

Changing things one line at a time will take you a while. The real way to get PMPro “in your language” is to create a locale .pot file using the link Mike originally shared. All of our strings, including the one you said was “hard coded” are “wrapped for localization” and so can be changed via a .pot file.

Read re our docs on translating, including this doc in the codex that we link to:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language

If you generate a .pot file for your language, we can include it in the plugin for other people who need that translation.

If you want to just translate/adjust a few lines, you can use the WordPress gettext filter. Docs here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/gettext

    Good luck.

    I see.
Thanks for the “Good luck” ??
