How to confirm tracking of outbound links

  • I want to second this request much later.. I have the code in the header that has the variable for link trackign as enabled.. But it seems to not be working. I don’t really know why or where to start since it is quite a complex site. You can see a page where there are links I would like to track here:

    How can I tell why it isn’t or if it is working without waiting for data propogation?

    The first place I would would check is the real time stats in Google Analytics. There you will be able to see in real time any events, links etc that are clicked.

    Another thing you can use is the Chrome Google Analytics debug extension:

    Justsayno1, I can see using the chrome extension is this is tracking a outbound Traffic event when I click on the link, which I assume is what you want.
