Is there a way I can consolidate events that span over multiple days (not recurring) into just one list entry? Example:
    From this…

    Mon, Feb 22, 2021
    Introduction to Pharmacology

    Tue, Feb 23, 2021
    Introduction to Pharmacology

    Wed, Feb 24, 2021
    Introduction to Pharmacology

    Thu, Feb 25, 2021
    Introduction to Pharmacology

    Fri, Feb 26, 2021
    Introduction to Pharmacology

    to this…

    Mon, Feb 22, 2021 to Fri, Feb 26, 2021
    Introduction to Pharmacology

You’re specifically looking for this change in list view only, correct?

Yes please. That’s where it would help the most. Thanks. It would massively reduce the list size. Maybe have this as an option? Or be able to condense the event if it spans over x days e.g.`”condense_days=5″.

Hi… just a follow-up on this. After this exchange, I spent some time working on trying to merge down multi-day events into a single entry in the list view. Unfortunately, the way I have the plugin organizing events into a date-based array, and how I iterate through that array, it is pretty much impossible to do this… as it is now.

I agree this is definitely a logical thing to be asking for though, so I will continue to look for a solution. I can’t promise when/if I’ll have it though.

Thanks for trying and getting back to me.

Hi, I have the same question. It would help me a lot in the list view, if there would be only start and end time for multi-day events.

This is also an issue for us. (Possibly to the point of giving up on the plugin because of it, as one or two multi-day events are frequently crowding everything later off the list.)

@ealmasy Would it be possible to get the URL of your feed for testing purposes? You can email it to the address on the plugin’s admin screen if you don’t want to post it here. Thanks.

@room34, our main calendars are behind a firewall (they’re displayed on our intranet site), but we’ll set up a copy with an accessible URL and I’ll email that to you.

Thanks. I just want to let you know that I have decided to make this feature the top priority for upcoming development on the plugin. I’m hoping to have it done by the end of January.

@room34 – excellent news! FWIW the adaptability of the plugin has otherwise seemed excellent so far for us –?a lot of well-considered options. (We’re new to WordPress, but if this is representative, will likely switch to it wholesale.)

Version 6.5.0 is now available which introduces consolidated multi-day events in list view. Additional feedback on this layout change is welcomed!

Hi, that looks great. Thank you very much for programming! It works great.

Awesome. Thanks so much. It works great. Is there a shortcode option to turn it on and off?

    @room34
Now I have found a small bug. The days and months are not translated correctly in my german website for the consolidated multi-day events.

@ericschuemann Sorry about that! I was thinking they would get translated automatically, but I realize now why they’re not, and what the issue is. I should have a fix available today.
