how to convert existing user into employee

    Hi,
    I have plenty of users as wordpress user. Now I want to add employee form hr manager so it tells email address already exist. My question is how to convert my existing users into employee.

    Hi @waseemsoa,

    If I’m correct you are using the same email you have used to create a user.
    For that reason, you are unable to create a new employee with the same email.
    Add a new employee from the HR module with an email that has not been used.

    How to convert existing users into employees?

    To convert your existing WordPress users into employees, navigate to

    WordPress Dashboard >> Users >> All Users >> click on the Specific User

    Scroll down and change the role from the dropdown menu and choose Employee.

    Unfortunately this is not helpful, after assigning employee role from users panel user did not added into employee list as a employee in hr manager

    Hi @waseemsoa,

    The user should be shown as an employee by the HR manager after you changed the user role as an employee.
    You can have a look at this video where I have shown how you can add a WordPress User as an employee to the HR manager.

    I believe the thread you shared was for the earlier version of WP ERP.
    As for the updated version of WP ERP, you will not be able to add users and employees with the same email.
    Make sure you are using the updated version of WordPress (v6.0.1) & WP ERP (v1.11.0)

    If you still can not convert users into employees then contact WP ERP regarding your issue.

    Hi@tanvir101,
    changing user role to employee did not work for me, wordpress and erp version is same as you mentioned. I have made a new user with employee role to test with new user but it did not worked.

    As I have shown in the previous reply on this topic thread, I didn’t get any issues regarding the WP user conversion to an HR employee.

    I would advise you to contact the WP ERP support for further discussion and I hope they can give you a prompt solution to your issue.
