How to convert Joomla website into wordpress website

  • Hi,

    I have created one website in Joomla.
    How can i convert it into WordPress.

    I have tried with the following plugins, But those are inporting joomla articles as Pages or Posts.

    1). CMS2CMS: Joomla to WordPress Migrator
    2). FG Joomla to WordPress
    3). Joomla Importer

    I would like to import all images, css, js… etc files.

    As far as I know you can’t take a direct copy of the Joomla files and paste them into WordPress as a theme. If you want the same design on your WordPress website then you will need to create the theme from scratch.

    Thanks for the reply. I have imported Joomla articles as a pages into wordpress using “FG Joomla to WordPress” plugin. While importing i have selected all the articles as pages.
    And after importing articles created as pages in dashboard.

    I would like to take page content in page templates(files), and will copy css, images and js files from joomla to wordpress.

    Then the design will come?

    No it doesn’t work by simply copying over the files. The structures of the two platforms are entirely different so the design will need to be built from scratch to work with the code required by WordPress. The themes for each platform are not interchangeable.
