How to copy get_param display results?

I’m trying to allow the user to copy a passed variable from the previous page form to a results page, but I’m not having any luck. (I can’t get your websites to pull up today or I would contact you there)

[get_param param=”my-testimonial”] is the code, but when I put the copy shortcode tags around it, it will not work as the get_param function ceases to work at that point. I’ve also tried a combination but it’s not working either.

This variable is also passed through the URL of the page if that helps.

Context: User submits testimonial on previous page, on the next page they are thanked and asked if they want to share that testimonial on google. I’m trying to give them the option to copy their text here on this page to make it easy.
