• Hey guys!

I’m trying to figure out how to make a sort of select box/dropdown menu and have generally found tutorials that refer to navigation menu, I do NOT want help with navigation menu.

I want to allow visitors to select a desired item in form of dropdown menu.

I have in mind something like this:

    Item 1
    content of Item 1: blablablalba

    Item 2
    content of item 2: blablablablal

And so on and so on.

Visitors would be able to choose different items from the menu and depending on that they would displayed different content or a link, redirection after choosing an item and confirmation would be fine too.

Is something like this doable in wordpress?

My goal is to make it take as little space as possible, I would have between 5 and 10 items in a menu at any given time, each showing different content and making people scroll through the page just isn’t very functional or nice.
If there is any plugin that would help me achieve that, not necessarily in a form of a menu, that could work too. So far I’ve only found “tab plugins” and I’m probably going to use that if I don’t find anything better.

    Thanks in advance!
    Adrian

  • Hello Adrian,

Would a FAQ structure possibly work for what you want to do? For example, the Arconix FAQ plugin (demo)

Or possibly an Accordion style menu?

If neither of those options help, could you link to an example online somewhere of what you’re trying to do?
