how to create a multi selector dropdown search box by code?

  • I need to search categories, tags, custom fields and custom taxonomies. I have to create a search box similar to this:

    when I set the number of guests, i.e. “3”, it’s intended I get apartments for 3 or more guests

    How can I start by code? (no plugins)

    How are your categories/tags/taxonomies/custom fields set up?

    Do you need to have all filters available or cascade through different options?

    There’s way to many unanswered questions for anyone to give any sort of serious answer for this. The basic idea is that you would display whatever filters are available based on what you have set up, and when each filter is selected you would use any set filters value to filter out the results.

    There is 1,000’s of ways that you could do that, so unfortunately there’s not a single easy answer.
