How to create a page with a description (like a category)

  • ok, so I find myself liking the category look because of the description part but since I am trying to create a business site and not a blog site I don’t want posts. I made a page but I can’t find a way to add a description to the page. Is there a way to either add a description to the page or to create a category that uses something other than posts, or a way to get rid of the whole “so and so posted this at 10:30pm”?

    The description would the the page’s content.

    You would need to edit the relevant template files in your theme and remove the appropriate code.
