How to create a Public gallery?

  • Hello,

    I have something a little weird going on. I developed my website and there became a huge issue so I ended up starting from scratch again and buddypress + mediapress are two main pieces to my website. When it was first created under the users profile it would say “Gallery > Create” and “Gallery > Upload” , now it says “Gallery > My Gallery” and “Gallery > Create” . Where did the upload go? I liked the upload more because it was easier for a user to upload a photo.

    Any ideas or suggestions? All I want is a public gallery where everyone can see and everyone can upload to!

    Let me rephrase that, I just want a page where I (or anyone else) can see ALL the photos that have been uploaded!

    I am sorry but your first question is not clear to me. I will try to explain what I understood and what can be done

    1. Are you sure that it was coming from MediaPress and not other plugin. MediaPress has the following in user profile
    Gallery(count)
    – My Gallery
    -Photo|Audio|Video..(If type filters are enabled
    – Create Gallery [ The user should have the permission]

    When you visit Individual Gallery, you get another menu item added that says “Add Media”

    Now coming to your other question:- Can you please explain what are you looking for? Do you want one single gallery for the whole site and all users should be able to upload there? or do you want 1 public gallery automatically created for each user ?

    These two are doable with MediaPress(We have codes posted over our forum and I will link). Please do let me know and I will be able to assist better.

    Hey Brajesh,

    Sorry, I know my question was ultimately all over the place.

    Mainly, I’m just look for either

    A) a public gallery that EVERYONE can upload to and everyone can see

    Or

    B) A short code where I am able to insert it into my “Gallery” page that would allow anyone viewing the page to see all the most recently uploaded features!

    Please let me know if this is possible, thank you kindly.
