How to create a separate directory/page.php

  • I want to add separate directory/page to my site in order to house a confirmation page (for a newsletter sign-up).

    Created directory ’emcon’ and file confirmthanks.php

    Currently, If I go to mydomain.com/emcon/ I see the page I’m trying to reach. However, when I try to go to the page itself, I get sent back to my 404 error page.

    The purpose is a double opt-in confirmation page with a bit of ‘conversion code’ in it.

    Is there a tweak I can make to .htaccess or to my wordpress confirmation that will allow a visitor to land on the page I’ve shown above?
