I know how to create a static page but I want to create a static page that would appear at mydomain.com not mydomain.com/page.

I know that at Settings > Reading WordPress allows us to display on First page a static page, but it’s a static page that we should have already created right?

When the visitor will go at https://www.mydomain.com, in this case won’t he see mydomain.com/thestaticpage?

    Is there any way around?

    Thank you

You cannot show any static page anywhere unless you have first created & published it. So, create and publish your page and then set it as your front page via Settings -> Reading.

    OK, I understand.
    But reading this:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

    I was confused here:
“Create two WordPress Pages from the “Add New Page” panel. If you will not be using WordPress blogging functionality, you can skip the second page.
Title the first page “Home” (or another name) as your “static” front page.
Set the “Home” template to the default template or any custom template. Do not title your template home.php as this could cause a conflict. “

What should I title the home template and where do I do that?

You don’t have to have a special template for your static front page. You can just use the default template if that works for you. If you do want to custom page template, you can call it front-page.php (in which case, it will automatically be applied to your front page) or something like myhome.php.

OK, I have created a static page called Home.
I changed the setings and not when someone will visit my site,
(mychrani.com) will see the static page.

Is there any way to hide the big Home title?
I tried to change it but when I changed the title, the Home in the horizontal Menu also changed.

I thought maybe I should change the slug, but I don’t know what it is.
I also went to Appearance > Menus and saw at the Home page an empty field called Title Attribute. What is this?
