I developed this site with the focus being the topic of my Home Page. The home page is a Landing Page where we are trying to get the reader to Take Action. We have now also decided that there will be several landing pages for this site. I want to create a new page (or is it an alias? or something else) with a URL where the slug is representative of the page content.
Example: Home is cahmc.com (site is not online yet)
I want this page to have a new address: cahmc.com/acne (acne is the focus of the page)
I want to also create a page that would have this url: cahmc.com/tinitus
    And there will be others.

Eventually (maybe very soon) I think I will need to add a new home page that will be seen if cahm.com is entered. From that high level summary page, there will be a menu to get to the Acne and Tinitus pages as well as the others that exist today.

    What are my options? Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello!

Well, if you create a page and name it “Acne”, then the slug will automatically be /acne/.

If you want to rename a page’s slug, then go into that page and where it says Permalink, under the title field, click the Edit button. Rename it and press OK.

Usually, when you change slugs, you should perform a redirect from the old URL to the new one, but you said that the site isn’t live yet, so there’s no need for that now.

Thank you so much. It was quite easy to do (yeah). I am a newbie of course with just enough knowledge to be dangerous LOL. I know that stuff CAN be done, just not HOW to do it.

    Thanks again.
