How to create Child theme for the Child?

  • Hello all!
    My client selected Unos BizDeck theme, and standard way to develop a custom site is to create child theme from selected (all you know it).

    But Unos DizDeck is itself the child theme of Unos, so I can’t create the child for it!
    /*
    Theme Name: My child
    Template: Unos
    */ is Ok, but

    /*
    Theme Name: My child
    Template: Unos BizDeck
    */ returns error.

    Did anybody the same?

  • You cannot create child themes of child themes. The only solution is to copy the existing child theme, rename it, and make changes directly to that child theme.

    Yes, @jakept , I know that I can’t.
    I thought may be is any alternative ideas instead of copy child theme and lost future updates there.
