How to create columns on a page?

I have a page of resource links that I’d like to group into two or three vertical columns.

I’ve tried 3 plugins so far and none of them will do this, column shortcodes and bamboo columns and ‘columns’. Neither displays results correctly.

I’m guessing something is wrong on my end if 3 do not display correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
