• Hi, I need to create a box on the side of my blog where I can enter links to articles over the internet, but I control eveything manually – enter the title for the link, link it up, and paste the article content into a “page” i imagine.

any ideas? this should be simple…i think?

    Thanks,
    SG

  • Yes, that is very simple. If you have a dynamic sidebar, just go to
Design > Widgets, add a Text Box widget where you just add/delete as you go along.
    <a href="URL" title="title of article">Title of Article or Blog</a>
However, have you considered using Blogroll (shown in Widgets as Links) where you can manage from Admin > Manage > Links and add the Links Widget in the dynamic sidebar.

The Links section is being used for something else…

Is there any more functional way of creating a custom “link box”? I’d also like to control it’s look and position to be somewhere other than the default place in the sidebar…

    Is that possible?

    Use a text widget?
