Currently the “Customers” section of Woocommerce is hard to understand for me. Repeat customers are shown as separate, and their info can’t be pulled up on new orders.

So I have a few questions:

    1. Is it possible to create a customer profile, with addresses, contact info etc. that can be pulled up with the “Load Billing Address” function on the Order page?
    2. Is it possible to merge all the repeat customers on the Customers page, so it’s easier to see what they bought in the past, discounts used etc.?
    3. Better yet, is it possible to just create a Customer Directory of sorts so we can see all data related to the customer, and make it easier for future invoicing?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hey there, @kylehayashi826! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Repeat customers are shown as separate

This usually happens when a customer purchases something without creating an account. When a customer purchases while logged in to their account, it will all show under the same customer.

When the customer has an account, if you assign an order to them, their information will be pulled automatically.

If you go to WooCommerce > Settings > Account and Privacy you will be able to choose if and when to let the customers create an account and if you let them purchase without creating one.

While it is possible to assign orders to specific customers, having a customer directory with all their information, orders, etc, is not a WooCore feature.

For that, you might want to take a look at Smart Customers Manager. This is a plugin from our marketplace, which means we provide support for it, which adds more functionalities to the customer section of your dashboard.

If you want to look for other options, you can search for “woocommerce customer manager“, or something similar, on the Plugins > Add New section of your dashboard or on a search engine like Google, for example.

Please note that we do not provide support for third-party plugins, so it is good to check the plugin thoroughly to see if it is reliable. You can find more about this in this guide.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!
