• Hi

Has anyone used the Profile Builder Pro to create two (or more) different groups of users with access to different parts of the website? For example, I would want one group of users to only have access to pages related to Product 1 and I would want the second group of users to only have access to pages related to Product 2. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to accomplish this.

    Thanks

    Mike

  • The Members plugin might help.

With it you can create separate roles with unique capabilities. Then you can assign one or more roles to each page or post.

Check this out for more details on the user roles. The roles and capabilities

You can use the PB’s register with a specific role feature. You create a new user-role (with a specific plugin of your choice) and insert that role in the register page. Then when a page is displayed you can check if the current_user has the role needed to view that page, else display a(n error) message.

Thanks for replying to my question. I decided to use the plugin Role Scoper (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/role-scoper/) and I created different groups which have access to different pages. Now when someone registers, they are classified as a WP Subscriber but they don’t have access to either the Product 1 or Product 2 pages until I review their registration and assign them to a group.

Barinagabriel, is there a way that I can create a message to send them to let them know that their registration is pending?
