How to create invisible database with search functionality?

Dear Friends,

I wonder if anyone can suggest any useful plugin that can help me have a database (which I can regularly update with new data and which is not visible to the visitors of the website)and another plugin for me to have a search box with custom input and output fields to enable visitors of the website make a keyword or number search and view the data they seek?

I found some plugins like: “Meta Box”, “WP CSV to Database” in the wp plugin directory, but I’m not sure if they’re the right plugins for my intention!

Actually, on my website (which is an educational website), I am going to have a specific page where students can search for their registered certificate data by searching their certificate number; so, the custom fields I wish to create are as follows: in the search page, a field where they can enter their “Certificate No.” and then press a submit/search button; and then the results page which would reveal/yield some data including their name, city, country, date of issue, etc. each on a separate field.

Please say how I can tackle this problem. Your solutions are very much appreciated in advance.
