I’m setting up new products in my shop, one print is a set price and then there are 3 post and packing prices for different world zones (also set prices as they are via a company). I’ve set up shipping zones, but the shipping prices for each product will be different.

How do I set up one product that displays the product price, then have 3 different shipping prices options for each zone?

    Thank you
    Jane

@jane-c It sounds like you are trying to configure flat rate shipping prices for products on your store. Different products will have different flat rate costs, with different costs added depending on the region they are being shipped to.

There are a couple ways you can set it up. Depending on the number of products in your store, one might be more efficient than other.

You can set up shipping classes that will allow you to have different flat rate shipping costs within a zone. So, for example, you can have a shipping class called “Heavy Items” and another one that is for “Light Items”. Within each zone, you can add a flat rate shipping method, which is shipping class having a different cost.

Using that method, you’d need to create one shipping class for each different price you’d like to have in that region. And then link each class to its particular product.

If you don’t want to have to create a shipping class for each product, then I’d recommend using the Per-Product Shipping extension. That extension will allow you to set up shipping costs in each product, with the ability to add different prices for different countries.

Hopefully one of those two options help!

    Hi Fernando,
Thanks again for your reply (as I have another thread you’re responding to as well!).
The shipping classes wouldn’t work for this because it’s only related to one size of product (A4 prints). The postage and packing prices are fixed by the print company and are different for UK, EU and ROW, so if I add an A3 print, the post and packing will be different again and again have 3 options, and so on and so forth with A2 size and then other different products in my shop.

I can see the per-product shipping extension is likely what I’m looking for in terms of being very specific with 3 x prices for different products that are all different…however, I see there’s an annual fee for this which I cannot currently afford. Are there any ways around this that will not incur extra costs at this time?

    Thank you
    Jane
