How to create page w/ list of linked post titles?

Hi all,

I’d like to create a page that automatically lists out the post titles in a given category and updates as new posts are added.

It would just be the post titles, and they would be linked to the full post pages. Like a quick “index” of posts… no text, no summary… just a concise spam of linked post titles, with a line break after each one. I don’t mind uploading a custom code page to my server, but I don’t know where to start with the page code, or if this has already been done?

In an ideal world, it would also be great to categorize the spam of linked titles by sub-category… but am I dreaming?

Any ideas or examples that have already been coded? The reason I want this is to make a readable index of recipes, which are all posted as separate blog entries.
